1 min read

AI Lab selection brings a variety of artistic and multidisciplinary works developed, produced and/or presented within a unique network of partners creating the European ARTificial Intelligence Lab - AI Lab project, co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union. At the time of its inception, at the end of 2018, it was the largest Creative Europe project implemented in Serbia.

AI Lab introduces AI related scientific and technological topics to general citizens and art audiences in order to contribute to critical thinking and scientific literacy. The project has been focusing on aspects beyond the technological and economic horizon to scrutinize cultural, psychological, philosophical and spiritual aspects of this super-technology. From the perspective of 13 major cultural operators in Europe (Ars Electronica Linz, Etopia Zaragoza, Laboral Gijon, Kapelica Ljubljana, Science Gallery Dublin, Onassis Cultural Center Athens, Culture Yard Helsingør, GLUON Brussels, Hexagone Grenoble, SOU Festival Tbilisi, le lieu unique Nantes, Waag Amsterdam and Center for the Promotion of Science Belgrade), the European ARTificial Intelligence Lab centers visions, expectations and fears that we associate with the conception of a future, all-encompassing artificial intelligence. An extensive activity programme, in the form of exhibitions, labs, workshops, conferences, talks, performances, concerts, mentorings and residencies, fosters interdisciplinary work, transnational mobility and intercultural exchange.
