Uzimaju\u0107i u obzir spoj tradicije i modernosti, Diavara postavlja pitanje kako bismo mogli da pre\u0111emo od bestelesnih ma\u0161ina ka humanijoj i duhovnijoj kontroli algoritama. Na rezidenciji u studiju&nbsp;<\/em><em>Diavara&nbsp;<\/em><em>&nbsp;u Jeneu u blizini Dakara (Senegal) su u\u010destvovali istra\u017eiva\u010di&nbsp;<\/em><em>Tarek Besold<\/em><em>(vo\u0111a tima bihejvioralnih nau\u010dnika,&nbsp;<\/em><em>Alpha Health, Telefonica<\/em><em>) i&nbsp;<\/em><em>Raoul Frese<\/em>&nbsp;<em>(profesor biofizike, Fakultet prirodnih nauka, fizike i astronomije,&nbsp;<\/em><em>VU&nbsp;<\/em><em>Amsterdam) na rezidenciju u Ieneu u blizini Dakara u Senegalu. Tokom trogodi\u0161njeg zajedni\u010dkog rada, oni su se uklju\u010dili u razli\u010dite diskusije sa ciljem da dovedu u pitanje hijerarhiju izme\u0111u umetnosti i empirijskih nauka koja je preovladavala u 20. veku, i pobuditi sumnju u tehnolo\u0161ki i nau\u010dni determinizam I na taj na\u010din omogu\u0107avaju\u0107i umetnicima da iznesu svoje vi\u0111enje stvari.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Manthia Diawara<\/em>&nbsp;je ro\u0111en u Maliju, Zapadna Afrika. Ugledni je profesor komparativne knji\u017eevnosti i filma na Univerzitetu u Njujorku. Diavara je plodan pisac i filmski stvaralac. Njegovi eseji o umetnosti, filmu i politici objavljeni su u Magazinu Njujork Tajms,&nbsp;<em>LA&nbsp;Times<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>Lib\u00e9ration<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>Mediapart<\/em>&nbsp; i Artforumu. Objavio je nekoliko knjiga o afri\u010dkoj i afroameri\u010dkoj kinematografiji.
