Berlin \u00b1 Panic (UK\/RS\/IE\/CR)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Short and documentary film<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Snaga i svetlost (Engl: Power and Light) is a tragic but inspiring site that still fascinates. This film diptych gives viewers a chance to dwell in it, to explore its heights and its depths, and to hear its stories. The results of extensive on-site filming, recording and research are a short spectral dynamic portrait and an extended artistic-documentary. Experts give their perspectives on the site and the visuals cast an unsparing eye on its abject condition. Just as the experts speculate about its possible fate, some of the visual sequences are also speculative. Using contemporary editing and processing techniques, they re-animate the site as a futuristic but haunting artwork. The soundtracks are not simple sonic portraits, but active collaborations with the building, derived through sonification and field recordings. The films place the space into a dialogue with itself and its past, transforming it from static heritage into a kinetic artistic entity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Sz. Berlin \u00b1 Panic is an on-going A\/V collaboration between Istria-based Sz. Berlin, and London-based filmmaker Panic, created in 2022. They specialise in artistically documenting industrial ruins. Their films have been shown at Burren College of Art, DKC Lamparna, Gallery Novo, Los Angeles Center for Digital Art, Gallery 51, and Delavski Dom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Illumination [BGD-25] short film, duration 15m25s, 2025 \nProduced by the Center for the Promotion of Science and the EU Creative Europe project FASIH for the exhibition Power and Light of Industrial Heritage \u00a9 Sz.
